The project “No Waste” is about making fashion more sustainable and creating less waste. The fashion industry is now one of the most polluting industries and because of the fast fashion industry a lot of clothes are thrown away every single day. I would like to change that. I experimented with recycling old clothes and small leftover fabrics. I pulverised the material in a Hollander beater, melted and sewed it together on water soluble interfacing. This creates a ‘new’ material, which could be used to make clothes without any waste. It’s also easy to transform in another piece of clothing, so it’s very sustainable.
